Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods of course split up years ago following a long-term relationship. That does not mean, however, that the Olympic skiing icon is not cheering on her former beau from afar.
“I support him. We’re friends, we congratulate each other … it’s really nice to see him playing so well again,” the Olympic skier said Monday on Extra, via the New York Post.
Woods is enjoying a remarkable career renaissance this season thanks to two brilliant performances recently in The Open Championship and the PGA Championship a weeks back, a tournament from Woods that culminated in one of the most memorable final rounds of golf in recent memory.
Not only does Vonn believe Woods’ comeback is legit, she also believes his first victory in ages will come sooner rather than later.
“I think it’s only a matter of time before he does actually win another tournament … after all his injuries and surgeries … that he has come back and fought his way back … he will be at the top again,” Vonn said.
Woods and Vonn enjoyed a two-year relationship before calling it quits in May, 2015.
Vonn has often spoke highly of Woods since the two split up, so it’s hardly surprising she continues to do so whenever she’s asked about him.
In June of 2016, Vonn admitted to still having strong feelings for Woods. However, she has since not surprisingly moved on and currently is dating Nashville Predators star P.K. Subban.
