Tony Parker took to Twitter on Monday to happily announce that he and wife Axelle Francine are expecting another son.

And while that is news to be celebrated, it comes with one hitch: The pregnancy may cause Parker to miss out on playing in the Summer Olympics for France’s national team.
“This is big news,” Parker told French radio station RMC, via an AP report. “I will need to talk with the France team. And negotiate with my wife, too. The schedule is very, very difficult.”
Parker’s wife is due at the end of July and with the Olympics basketball tournament scheduled for Aug. 6-21 in Rio de Janeiro, it could provide for a pretty tight window.
And while Parker has stated that the closeness of the Olympics to his wife’s due date obviously complicates matters, he also said he hasn’t yet decided for certain what he plans to do.
Parker starred for France at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, but the team lost to Spain in the quarterfinal knockout round by a score of 66-59. The San Antonio Spurs star 15.7 points, 3.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds in six games played.
